Welcome to the Montgomery City-County Personnel Department's online employment system. To use the system, you will need a valid email address. If you do not have an email address, free email accounts are available from many websites, including www.yahoo.com and www.hotmail.com.
A separate email account is required for each person who registers. Family members or others who normally use the same email address must establish a separate account if more than one person is going to apply for a job.
In order to help you obtain the services you need, some general instructions are provided.
Do you want to look at current job openings?
Click on the "Current Job Openings" button above, and you will be taken to a list of jobs for which the Personnel Department is currently accepting applications.
Do you want to enter your personal information including your education and work experience so that you can apply for jobs or join the mailing list?
You must first register in the employment system.
Click on the "Register to Apply Online" button. After you have registered, you will receive an email with a temporary password and a link for the "Login" page. This login page will ask you to create an "Employment Profile." Your profile includes your personal contact information, employment history, education and a record of the jobs for which you have an interest or have applied. This information can be changed at any time.
Do you want to apply for a current job opening?
If you haven't registered, look at the previous instructions. If you have registered, login.
Review the list of current job openings and click on "Apply" for the job that interests you. If you completed your education and work experience when you registered, much of this information will already be in the system. Enter any new information that is needed and check your work.
Your application is complete when you click on the "Submit" button. You will receive an email indicating that your application has been accepted.
Applications submitted online will be accepted until 5 PM Montgomery, AL time on the closing date shown on the job announcement. "Continuous" or "Until Needs are Met" announcements may be closed at any time without prior notice. Late applications will not be accepted.
Do you want to express an interest in a job that is currently not open for applications?
You must register first! Next, click on the "Jobs Accepting Interest Cards" heading. You will be taken to a list of jobs currently included in the pay plans for the City and County of Montgomery, and Montgomery Airport. Select "I'm interested" by the job(s) that interests you. Be sure to click on the "Submit Interest Card" button to save your request. You are responsible for keeping your contact information current.
You can also delete the job from your "Employment Profile" if you change your mind about a job.
Do you want to edit or update your education and experience or your responses to an application?
You have two options for editing and updating.
For changes to your education and/or experience, it is recommended that you go to "Employment Profile" and click on the "Update Education and Experience" heading. The screen that appears allows you to view, update, delete and add information to your education and experience. Once you make the appropriate changes, remember to click on the appropriate buttons (update, submit) to save the information into your profile.
For changes to a specific application which includes changing your supplemental questionnaire, click on the "My Employment Profile" heading. Move down to the "Applications on File." Click "Edit" next to the application that you wish to change. Make your changes. Be sure to click on "Update Application" on the last section (Applicant Data Form) to save your changes.
Do you want to update or change your email, password, or personal information?
Login. Click on the appropriate heading. Make the changes and press the "Change" or "Save" buttons to ensure that the changes are made in your profile.
Do you want to print a copy of your completed application?
Select "My Employment Profile". Choose the application record you wish to print and click on the "Print Application" link. This selection will allow you to print a copy of your application information using adobe acrobat PDF file.
Correspondence from the Personnel Department will automatically be sent to your email address unless you change your preference to "U.S. Mail" notification when you complete your "Online Profile Information".
